Role: Coordinator of Child Care Recruitment
Wage: $50,000 - $52,000 Annual Salary
Benefits: Paid sick days for yourself and family, 8% vacation pay (includes scheduled

operational closures), paid training, full benefits package, 5% employer-
matched pension, education and career advancement opportunities

Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Occasional evenings and weekends

Location: Fort St. John (consideration will also be given to those in Dawson Creek)
About the
Program:

The YMCA is the largest not-for-profit provider of child care in Canada and the
YMCA of Northern BC is the largest provider in the north, serving: Chetwynd,
Dawson Creek, Fort St. James, Fort St. John, Prince George, Pouce Coupe and
Vanderhoof. YMCA Child Care is a home away from home.

Responsibilities of this role:
• Working in collaboration with the Manager of Child Care Recruitment & Education to

recruit and train child care staff
  • Building relationships and providing exceptional customer service in a timely fashion
  • Ability to communicate clearly through a variety of methods with your candidates,
supervisors, colleagues, education institutions and other community members as needed
  • Attending local events, job fairs and other opportunities to promote YMCA Child Care
  • Motivated self-starter who is able to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and execute them in a thorough and efficient manner
  • Strong organization skills and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Qualifications:
• Higher business knowledge and experience or specialized skills acquired
  • Experience in recruiting and training to create an effective, engaged team
  • Experience hiring foreign talent using LMIA’s and BCPNP’s an asset
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • Three satisfactory professional references
