Corporate Accounting Technician Job at Bison Transport
The Corporate Accounting Technician will assist the Corporate Controller with treasury management duties and various accounting tasks including preparing monthly and year-end working papers, expense analysis reports, journal entries, account reconciliation and follow up.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Assist in managing cash flow forecasting models.
- Assist in formalizing a Treasury Management Policy and ensure compliance.
- Preparing expense analysis reports.
- Preparing month end journal entries.
- Ensure US and CDN Tax payments are made to the various states and provinces.
- Manage any regulatory audit requests.
- Assist in maintaining transfer pricing policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Our Ideal Candidate will possess:
- Completion of post-secondary Business Administration program with a focus on Accounting or demonstrated experience in Accounting.
- Detail oriented with a passion for working with numbers
- Ability to manage in a multi-task environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of Great Plains and the transportation industry considered an asset.
