Available Job Opportunity: Corporate Communications & CSR Specialist

Location: Vaughan, Ontario

About the role:

Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Communications & CSR, the Specialist is responsible for developing communication tools to deliver the organization's messages to internal and external recipients in order to promote the company, improving its branding, building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, supporting and participating in all Corporate Communications and CSR Department activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the rollout of external communications plans to position the Company positively and maximize opportunities to tell our growth story with key announcements
  • Assist the Manager in developing expertise in Company strategy to effectively lead communications with key audiences and stakeholders
  • Assist the Manager in coordinating External & Internal Communications
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing partners
  • Monitor media and manage related platforms
  • Provide directions and advice on the compliance with KGHM brand book
  • Manage communication activities in social media and create the company's image in social media
  • Draft press releases, pitches, case studies, white papers, and media summaries
  • Organize and oversee promotional events
  • Prepare visual and verbal documentation of promotional events
  • Write short articles and upload them on the Company Intranet
  • Develop promotional marketing materials and visual merchandising
  • Assist with all activities of the KGHM International Ltd. Corporate Office Sponsorship Committee
  • Support the Corporate Crisis Management Team Communications Coordinator during the crisis
  • Assist with the development of various reports
  • Create PowerPoint presentations
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Manager of Corporate Communications and CSR
  • Create and maintain various databases
  • All other duties as assigned

Required/Related Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience
  • Mining industry experience preferred but not required
  • Experience in working in a multinational environment
  • Experience creating, proofreading, and editing different content formats
  • Experience in project management and execution of PR and CSR initiatives
  • A portfolio with examples of writing is welcome

Education Required

  • University Degree (College Diploma) in Communications, PR, Journalism, or a related field

Required Skills

  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Proficiency in English, written and verbal communication
  • Experience creating, proofreading, and editing different content formats
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to learn new skills and technical aspects of mining
  • A high level of integrity, displaying ethics and a commendable value system
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, reporting and analytical skills
  • Ability to interact and work collaboratively with others
  • Proven ability to liaise with a multitude of internal stakeholders
  • Ability to negotiate and influence internal and external parties
  • Expertise utilizing new and emerging technology, media and social media platforms
  • Command of the Polish and Spanish languages, written and verbal, would be considered an asset
