Cultivation Technician (10 hours shifts in a condensed work week schedule)

The Cultivation Technician will care for cannabis plants in the vegetation and blooming stages, complete all post-harvest processes including trimming, drying, curing, and packaging. Be apart of a team to develop process improvements and quality systems to cultivate high-quality cannabis flowers within a matured well-structured team setting. This position offers a condensed 4-day work week including weekends.

Key Accountabilities
· Care for clones, vegetative, and blooming cannabis plants

· Complete pruning sessions, defoliations, and toppings of plants at different stages of their lives

· Mix nutrient recipes and pest prevention remedies to nurture flowering plants

· Harvest flower blossoms on well designed schedules

· Participate in harvest such as operating trimming machines, drying racks, analytical equipment, packaging equipment, and final inspection procedures.

· Ensure clean and sanitary conditions of grow rooms, equipment, and processing rooms

· Participate in monthly staff training sessions, group home-growing learning activities and business update.

· Ensure compliance with Health Canada CTLS regulations

· Adhere to set Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

· Requirement to wear company issued PPE including facemasks and respirators.

Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent experience

· 1+ years working with plants in an indoor or outdoor horticultural setting is a plus

· Manufacturing experience is a plus

· Willingness to adapt to necessities of an indoor horticultural application

· Willingness to learn plant diseases and pests as well as the symptoms of nutrient deficiency and toxicity

· Willingness to learn and comprehend indoor horticultural systems

· Must be able to sit, stand, reach, and lift for extended periods of time

· Must be able to lift 40 pounds

· Must be able to successfully complete background criminal and reference checks

· Applicants must be eligible to legally work in Canada

Hours of Work
· 35 hours per week, weekend availability
