The Facilities Technician (Carpentry) is a key member of the property maintenance team, with primary responsibility for the safe execution of a variety of maintenance and repair activities to buildings, equipment, grounds, and other infrastructure to ensure safe and effective operations and management of onsite assets. Particular accountabilities of this position include site monitoring, assisting in scoping, planning, and scheduling of maintenance and repairs; safely executing maintenance and repair activities especially in the areas of repairs to entrance ways, windows, flooring, roofing, overhead doors, interior walls and doorways, furniture, basements, guard houses, etc. ; carrying out other duties and supports to the Manager, Port Operations (MPO) & Port Operations Lead (POL); and demonstrating commitment to occupational health & safety (OH&S).
Qualifications
General carpentry and construction experience is an asset.
Valid Class 5 Drivers License with clean abstract
Ability to work independently or part of a team.
