Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Total Rewards and HR Services, the Director will work closely with the Corporate Services and HR team to provide leaders across the organization with relevant and timely insights, determine strategies to improve the employee experience, create operational effectiveness and efficiency.


This position requires a leader with strong strategic knowledge of data architecture and analysis, human capital management (HR) and business acumen. The role requires someone who collaborates with teams across HR and business partners, establishing strong relationships with stakeholders and peers. A strong contributor with the relevant senior leadership background and the ability to prioritize objectives and keep momentum with key team deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of business intelligence and analytics professionals to deliver on-going reports, dashboards and insights to people leaders and HR, as well as multiple projects varying in scope
  • Supports the annual planning cycle across all of HR and corporate services, works to ensure consistent focus, participation and engagement in planning milestones, facilitating across vice-presidents and directors in order to gain consensus around long term plans and team priorities
  • HR Business Intelligence – uses internal and external data sources to develop insights to support management decision making, manage and evolve Bell’s HR business intelligence operations
  • Create, implement and maintain a robust HR listening and research strategy to gain relevant knowledge and timely insights from internal and external sources

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in large enterprise
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, prioritize and manage stakeholder requirements and expectations
  • Must be a clear, open and effective communicator with strong facilitation skills and a proven ability to lead and influence a large group of diverse stakeholders through decision-making processes
  • Proven ability to navigate within a complex matrix structure with a demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships and collaborative relationships
  • Demonstrated passion for the human capital agenda, including a passion for understanding current emerging trends and the implications for our company, team members and HR organization
  • People leadership experience including coaching and developing others
  • Experience in driving processes and implementation improvements in sizeable environments
