Customer Service Attendants/Dockhands

Full Time (Seasonal Term - May - September)

La Ronge, SK

Responsibilities:

  • Checking in passengers and accepting cargo and freight safely and efficiently, in accordance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Loading and unloading, cleaning, and marshalling aircraft as needed
  • Receiving float aircraft on docks and securing them to the dock
  • Assist passengers requiring assistance to enplane/deplane or handle baggage
  • Effective communication with customers, peers, management, and various departments.
  • Operate ground support equipment
  • Quality control and safe management of fuel delivery, handling and storage, and general airport farm operations.
  • Problem solving and making a positive contribution to overall company operations.

Skill Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills and interpersonal skills that strengthen inter-company communications and relations.
  • Computer skills an asset.
  • Self-motivated and able to work within given timelines.
  • Effective leadership skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Able to resolve conflicts positively and productively (customer and co-worker).
  • Organizational skills imperative.
  • Physically fit, able to safely undertake physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid Driver's License an asset.

Shift Requirements

  • The CSA/Dockhand will work shifts as assigned on days, evenings, and weekends. 50 per cent of the work is performed outdoors, including inclement summer and fall weather.
  • This position is physically demanding. The CSA/Dockhand must be able to safely undertake physically demanding tasks.
  • Able to accept call outs as required. Occasional overtime, on call shifts and/or travel may be required.
  • Ability to handle customer luggage and freight.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds.
  • Able to safely provide various ground services related to aircraft and equipment.
  • Able to work in enclosed spaces and on elevated work platforms.
