North Central Co-op invites applications for the positions of part-time Customer Service Clerk to join our team at the Chappelle Food Store in Edmonton, Alberta. (1025 Chappelle Boulevard SW ) The ideal candidate will be available to work a variety of shifts during regular operating hours of 8am to 10pm.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Utilize product and service knowledge to support customers.
• Initiate positive interactions with customers to develop trust and loyalty with North Central Co-op.
• Complete price checks upon request in a professional manner.
• Stock, organize and complete merchandise displays according to store standards and policies.
• Assist with inventory verifications and assembly of products for display.
• Order special or out-of-stock merchandise requested by customers.
• Order using POS programs.
• Receive products and open freight as needed.
• Maintain a constant alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise.
• Contribute to a team environment by assisting in other areas as required.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a retail location would be an asset
• Service oriented
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
• Intermediate computer skills (email, research)
