Summary

The Centre franco wishes to welcome a DevOps programmer to its Technology Support and Application Development team.

Reporting to the Technology Support and Application Development Manager, the incumbent is responsible for developing and optimizing technology solutions to support the company's application needs as well as the development of new applications.

RESPONSABILITIES

· Be a key person specialized in all aspects of DevOps (automation, infrastructure design, provisioning, configuration management, deployment, monitoring, continuous integration, delivery, etc.), mainly on the Azure platform.

· Produce and maintain architecture and design documents throughout development and post deployment.

· Deliver new environments from development to production (infrastructure and application configuration and deployment) as well as automate them.

· Participate in application testing for security, performance, resiliency and availability.

· Manage access and control of environments.

· Train and mentor team members as needed to develop their automation skills and competencies.

· Maintain existing applications.

· Contribute to the improvement of the company's processes.

· Keep up to date with the skills and knowledge related to his/her field of expertise.

· Carry out any other task of a similar nature or of a general nature, dictated by his/her duties or requested by the Centre franco's management, while respecting the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or any other equivalent training.

· Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a DevOps Specialist or similar role.

· Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, using precise language and a strong attention to detail.

· Proficiency in developing various Azure Cloud environment resources, as well as cloud design patterns.

· Hands-on experience building microservices or distributed systems.

· Knowledge of EF Core.

· Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server.

· Experience with web frameworks such as Blazor, React, and/or Vue is an asset.

· Adheres to Microsoft development standards and best practices.

· Proficiency with Agile development practices.

· Knowledge of the school board technology landscape is a plus.

· Proven ability to take initiative and be innovative.

· Analytical thinking and complex problem solving skills.

· Excellent personal integrity and ability to handle confidential matters in a professional manner and demonstrate excellent judgment and maturity.

Salary : $92 217 to $117 367

Status : permanent

Full time : 35 hours/week

Workplace : Remote ( telework)
