SUMMARY

The Change Management Office (CMO) / Project Management Office (PMO) is a management structure, providing company wide support and gaining compliance via adopting various proven change management and project management methodologies, using provided templates, forms, tools, and formats.

The CMO / PMO helps optimize use of resources through tracking details of company-wide projects and programs, including their Team Members’ capacity and availability.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement an organizational structure providing a standardized approach to change management, leveraging proven methodologies and best practices, coupled to project management activities
  • Align projects and programs to corporate directives, strategic objectives, and balanced scorecard
  • Create and deploy change management and project management process assets, including; templates, forms, change requests, etc.
  • Provide training to Project Managers on various change and project management models and tools to build Team Member competencies
  • Develop and leverage a configurable Project Requirements Matrix, acting as a guide for Project Managers as to the level of project planning and change management required based on project risk, complexity, priority, size and impact to Team Members
  • Implement and support a standardized and consistent approach to creating project charters, business cases, and estimating project benefits and ROIs
  • Create and monitor a company impact assessment for all projects administered by the CMO / PMO, including impact analysis, change readiness assessments, etc.
  • Manage methodologies, standards, overall opportunities, metrics and interdependencies among projects at an enterprise level
  • Build and maintain relationships with Executives, Directors, Project Managers, Leaders, and key influencers
  • Manage communication across projects
  • Manage shared resources across projects administered by the CMO / PMO
  • Provide project managers with coaching, mentoring and training
  • Act, as required, as a stakeholder, providing direction and recommendations throughout the lifecycle of a project including deployment, or to terminate projects to stay aligned with business objectives
  • Leverage the Business and Change Management Maturity Models to build a roadmap of activities for the CMO / PMO
  • Provide monthly reporting to the Executive Team on the status of projects, including project plan status, risk strategies, cost, scope, and schedule variances, and generally any barriers to success

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • 5 to 10 years of successfully leading both project and change management of small to large business type projects
  • Project experience should include leading full deployment of transitional and transformational change projects
  • 5 to 10 years of people management experience, leading both direct-line and virtual teams

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • Certified Change Management Practitioner
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) (would be an asset
