Full Job Description

The Director of Finance & Administration is responsible for setting up financial controls and processes impacting the bottom line, this position will also be responsible for the administration and management of multiple businesses including Zagime Care Home, Four Horse Development, The Moose & Bannock (M&B) restaurants, ESSO & convenience store, Omagakii Regina and Yorkton, M&B Food trucks, and other existing and upcoming ventures.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up financial & administrative controls and targets for each business.
  • Will be responsible for designing & implementing processes & SOPs to increase the bottom-line profitability.
  • Will be responsible for Budgeting & Control for all the businesses.
  • Will lead cross-functional teams including Finance, Administration, HR, IT & others.
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to increase profitability.
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure continuous progress.
  • Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resource allocation.
  • Liaise with managers/supervisors to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals and KPIs.
  • Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback for efficacy.
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply enhancements.
  • Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors.
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics.

Requirements and skills

Proven experience as Director of Finance & Administration or equivalent position is preferred.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Knowledge of the industry’s legal rules and guidelines
  • In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. Finance, Retail, supply chain, customer service, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Familiarity with MS Office and various business software
  • MBA or relevant field master’s or bachelor’s degree with 5 years of management experience is preferred.
