Now with over 800+ employees with 22 brand partnerships, O’Regan’s is recruiting for a Director of IT who will drive the development and execution of their technology roadmap and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

As the Director of IT, you will be responsible for overseeing the technological infrastructure of all O’Regan’s dealerships, including hardware, software, network, and security systems. Working as a part of the senior leadership team, the Director of IT will manage a team of IT professionals and work closely with other departments to ensure that technology is being used effectively to meet business needs. You’ll play a key role in IT leadership and the continued success and improvement of O’Regan’s IT Operations while upholding O’Regan’s values of collaboration, teamwork, and respect.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Participate in strategic planning as a member of the senior leadership team, specifically contributing to the development of strategies and methodologies to integrate and optimize the strategy, roadmap, and tactics of the organization
  • Oversee resources, staffing, IT budget, and the enhancement/development of a best-in-class team, as well as oversee and actively be accountable for the aggregate performance of the IT department as a whole
  • Ensure the security and integrity of all technology systems, including data protection, network security, and disaster recovery
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, including regular performance reviews and feedback
  • Collaborate and build relationships with operational staff, the Executive Team, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, understand gaps, and propose strategic improvements to IT
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of hardware and software systems, including servers, workstations, and peripherals
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and services
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for IT operations and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that improve business processes and enhance customer experience
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and innovations, evaluate their potential impact on the organization, and make recommendations to the business

What we are looking for:

  • 15+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a large IT environment with multiple locations and complex technology systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of hardware (cloud and on-prem), software, network
  • infrastructure, and security systems
  • Experience managing a team of IT professionals and collaborating with other departments
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent experience/education
