SHIFT DISPATCHER

Its fleet moves freight via truckload, van, flatbed, bulk wood fibre or container service. At Sunbury we recognize the importance of a strong team. Sunbury Transport is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Dispatcher located in Saint John, NB.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the Transportation and Logistics industry considered an asset
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to work within a team
- Computer skills are essential (Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite)
- Willingness to work rotational shifts (day and night shifts, on-call, and during the weekend)
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison with drivers based on their needs/questions regarding loads, schedules, paperwork, etc
- Plan and dispatch drivers for required loads
- Coordination of maintenance when equipment breaks down
- Summarize and deliver relevant information to next shift
- Resolve customer issues and address special needs/requests when required
- Promote and support all safety initiatives when performing roles and responsibilities
- Monitor assigned loads and document any issues, resolutions, or escalation
