Transworld Xpress Inc. is looking to hire a full-time highly motivated experienced Logistics Dispatcher to join our service team and grow with our company.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day.
• Collaborate with customer service to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of clients.
• Act as a communication liaison and answer incoming phone calls and messages from drivers on the road.
• Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.
• Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for time-sensitive deliveries.
• Ensure dispatch coverage of routes on a daily, and provide updates as required.
• Knowledge of pricing and quoting when booking loads.
• Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might have.

Job Requirements & Skills

• Must be efficient with using a computer, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent knowledge of roadways throughout the immediate area.
• Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Must be motivated and able to work productively and efficiently in a team-focused environment, including in high pressure situations.
• Experienced in using Loadlink to find loads and proficient knowledge of Xpert will be an asset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English are essential.
• Strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma.
• Experience in the transportation industry, or experience in operations/logistics is considered an asset.
• Post-secondary education (Degree or Diploma) in business or operations/logistics is an asset.
