A large leader in transportation and Logistics company based in the Concord area is currently looking for a qualified Transportation Dispatcher for the afternoon shift.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include

  • Assign Drivers to equipment, delivery routes/runs or pickup calls and log each direction into our dispatch Routronics system.
  • Provide accurate directions to pickups and delivery facilities to Drivers.
  • Keep in regular contact with each Driver via phone to manage driver performance.
  • Take pickup calls from Customers via phone, fax or email and enter the details into our Routronics dispatch system.
  • Pull daily appointment reports and ensure that all timed deliveries are being delivered on time.
  • Communicate any delays or pickup issues with the Shippers and ensure that all missed pickups are communicated daily to the TM.
  • Communicate any account issues or opportunities for improvement to Customer Service and Account Manager.
  • Ensure all reported accidents or incidents are immediately communicated to the Safety & Compliance Manager and Management and all details reported are documented and forwarded to the Safety & Compliance Manager (S&C Mgr). Request that the Driver complete the appropriate accident or incident report.
  • Record equipment numbers and locations of any dropped/switched trailers locations or equipment
  • Attend required Safety & Compliance training courses and safety meetings.

Position Requirements

Minimum 3 years experience dispatching in an LTL board, covering the Golden Horseshoe Area.

Proficiency in specialized fields in order to understand and apply advanced policies, practices, procedures, concepts and principles.

Communication skills including written (emails, etc.) and verbal (employees, managers).

Computer skills including Word, Excel, and e-mail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volume workload
  • Extended work hours and working flexible hours will be required due to the nature and responsibilities of the role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of Dispatcher experience on an LTL board, covering the Golden Horseshoe area is required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of MTO regulations affecting Drivers for Hours of Service and Pre-Trip Inspections.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Previous AZ Driving experience is an asset but not a requirement.
  • Clear criminal background record.
  • Ability to Multi-Task and be decisive

Pay Rate: $27.50- $30.00hr to start

Hours: 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
