Your Opportunity

We are seeking someone to join our team for a two-year contract, who brings practical and technical document controls experience for a large, multi-year transportation project.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Providing document management / control services for our multi-year transportation project
  • Partner with others to:

+ Help our projects stay on schedule and within budget by tracking, controlling, and providing status reports of deliverables throughout their lifecycles.

+ Ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to Stantec and client standards which govern things like workflows, metadata, formatting, document and revision numbering, document transmittal, and approvals for example.

+ Provide training and support for Stantec’s and the client’s electronic filing systems.

+ Participate in improvement initiatives.

  • Perform project and operational administrative duties, such as:

+ Formatting and proofreading documents.

+ Organizing and attending meetings.

+ Capturing meeting minutes, action items, and decisions.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Experience with document control systems, processes, and standards, particularly within public/government sector.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to programs and processes quickly.
  • Excellence in the following areas:

+ communication (written and oral, and to a variety of audiences),

+ critical thinking and analytics,

+ interpersonal skills,

+ time management,

+ organizational skills,

+ multitasking, and

  • Effective team player with demonstrated ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Proficiency with the following software:

+ Microsoft (MS) Office 365, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

+ Adobe Acrobat Professional

  • Familiarity with the project management lifecycle.

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary degree in related field with minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience.
  • Experience in consulting engineering or construction is desirable.
