Job Summary

Blessed Generations Academy is going to open a new location in Maple Ridge very soon. We are looking to hire qualified staffs who are interested in working in a Christian Daycare center in the beautiful Maple Ridge city and who are passionate about providing high-quality, Christian-based Early Childhood Education.

Hiring positions:

  • Infant/Toddler teacher ( IT)
  • Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
  • Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA)
  • Responsible Adults ( RA)

Qualifications

  • Valid certification from the BC ECE Registry ( IT, ECE, ECEA, certification or diploma)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Negative Criminal Records check
  • 3 References
  • At least 1 years of working with children
  • Agree with our Philosophy and demonstrate compatibility with our Core Values, having knowledge of the Bible in application and teaching
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and implement childcare curriculum that is reflective of BGA’s Christian values and compliant with Provincial requirements
  • Evaluate individual and group needs of children in a group childcare setting to ensure programming is meeting each child’s physical, emotional, and educational needs
  • Ensure that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed in accordance with Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws, regulations, and licensing requirements at all times
  • Create a safe and encouraging learning environment for children to develop positive self-concepts and support individuality, independence, and creative expression
  • Attend to children’s physical needs for toileting, eating, dressing, and learning
  • Establish effective and cooperative teamwork and communication
  • Maintain positive and supportive relationships with parent-clients
  • Organize the space, equipment, and materials before and after activities

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work is generally performed in both classroom and outdoor settings, with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule due to the unpredictability of young children. Frequent walking, standing, lifting, stooping, and carrying of equipment and materials may be required. May be required to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Applicants must be able to handle the stress, tension, and exasperation that contact with many children and parents brings every day.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $33,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
