Our client, a leader in the Space industry within Brampton, ON is looking for a Electrical Designer with 5+ Years of Experience on a Contract Basis!

Description:

As a member of the Engineering Team as an Electrical Designer, you will work in the Logistics & Sustaining Engineering (L&SE) program (to support On-Orbit Space Station activities), and/or Gateway External Robotics System, and/or planetary/lunar rovers, and/or R&D activities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cable harness designs for space and terrestrial applications
• Design cable mechanisms for rotary interfaces
• Perform cable routing and 3D modelling
• Prepare System Level Power, Grounding and Bonding Architectures
• Develop production, assembly and parts list drawings
• Understand the client’s requirements
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

5-6 years of electrical cable harness design experience

must come from space or aerospace

must be able to perform cable routing and 3D modelling

Experience with environmental testing and designing cables according to TVAC, thermal, EMC, & vibration design considerations

must be able to develop production, assembly and parts list drawings

Understand cable design analysis such as Signal Integrity, Voltage Drop, Cross-talk, Cable Bundling, bend radius & EMC.

Understand FMEA, SEE Criticality Analysis, Cumulative Dose, Radiation Effects Mitigation, & Charging
