Full Job Description

EJ Cunningham Ltd. has been serving the Sussex and Surrounding area since 1967. We are currently looking for a full time / seasonal heavy equipment operator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

· Safely operate heavy equipment on work sites.

· Fill out daily safety and maintenance paperwork.

· Clean, grease, and refuel equipment daily.

Qualifications:

· Primary duties would be to operate 15 tonne excavator or smaller doing residential or commercial work. Must be able to demonstrate ability and/or provide references with experience operating an excavator.

· This role may include physically strenuous activities and may required lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects.

· Ability to operate other equipment, and a class 3 or higher license would be an asset.

· Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

· Must be willing to help crews with manual labour work. For example, when backfilling and grading around foundations, raking, shovelling, and operating a compactor may be required.

· Must be punctual and reliable.

· Must be able to work well alone, or with a team.

· Must have a pair of CSA approved safety boots, other PPE will be provided.

Hourly wage will be based upon the experience and qualifications of the applicant. Medical benefits including dental, vision, and extended health care are also available after probation period.

Schedule:

• 9.5 hour shift Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work.

Experience:

• heavy equipment operator: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: Our office is located just outside of Sussex, NB. Must be able to commute to and from the office daily. Vehicle will be provided to and from job sites.

Salary: From $22.00 per hour
