Looking seasoned for a chef with Knowledge and Experience with local Trends in Canadian Cuisine. Previous Hotel experience would be an asset. This a position for the perfect candidate to advance within the company as an Executive Chef. This would be a salaried position.

What you will be doing:
  • Managing a kitchen brigade in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • Ensuring consistency in all aspects of menu, food preparation, recipes and standards
  • Actively interacting with hotel guests at their tables
  • Offering proactive, friendly, and professional service
  • Maintain and enhance food products, through creative menu development and creativity
  • Support colleagues ensuring all kitchen policies, procedures and service standards are met including Health and safety.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years in the Hotel Restaurant industry
  • Must be able to lead and give sound direction.
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Problem solver and having the ability to overcome obstacles
  • Motivated in reaching goals
  • Self Driven and Highly motivated
  • Team Player who can lead by example
  • A Driver of positive guest satisfaction by focusing on their needs
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Valid food handler’s certificate
  • Red Seal certification would be an asset but not a requirement based on experience
The Executive Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the highest quality of food and service is provided to our guests. The Executive Sous Chef must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to think on their feet.
