Meridian Manufacturing Inc., Regina, Saskatchewan has an opening for a Fabricator.

Summary:

Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor, the Fabricator is responsible for fabricating parts according to blueprints and/or verbal instructions to produce agricultural equipment in a timely matter.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read engineering drawing, includes understanding of symbols, dimensioning, angle and degrees.
  • Knowledgeable and has the ability to use and read measuring tools, like tape measure, protractor, calipers etc.
  • Know the basic fundamentals of fabrication.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Understand how to use a square.
  • Understand and practice of daily preventive maintenance.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • 2 years of fabricating is preferred
  • Combination of education and experience will be considered assets.
  • Mechanical aptitude will be considered an asset; experience using measuring instruments is required.
  • Fork Lift and/or Crane Operator Licences will be considered an asset

The successful applicant must have a superior work ethic, excellent time management skills and a positive attitude. The work environment will include; working alone or as part of a team and following safe work practices. Advanced experience in the agricultural industry will be considered an asset in addition to any manufacturing related certifications.
