Job Summary:
The Facilities Operations Coordinator, Athletics, oversees the operation of all facilities related to Athletics and Campus Recreation on campuses in Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

The Coordinator undertakes administrative duties, client services and membership management. The incumbent ensures that athletic facilities are managed and maintained effectively and efficiently, including enforcing facilities policies, overseeing facility maintenance, and coordinating facility rentals.

The Facilities Operations Coordinator, Athletics and Campus Recreation, performs a variety of customer service and support functions and supervises student-staff positions.

Qualifications:
Certificate in sport, recreation, or fitness administration from a recognized institution.

Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably in a post-secondary athletics/recreation/fitness environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.

Highly organized with the ability to develop and manage complex schedules.

Competency with Microsoft Office applications and web-based communications, preferably XplorRecreation (PerfectMind).

Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new technology.

Strong customer service skills.

Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, to lift and push athletics facilities equipment.

Note that the scope of the position requires on occasion extended workday and work weeks, including weekends particularly during the fall and spring semesters.
