Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Finance Supervisor, the Finance/Payroll Clerk L2 is responsible for for all procedures related to payroll and will compensate employees accurately and on time in accordance with legislation and the Agency’s Finance and Personnel Policy. This position requires organizational skills and strict confidentiality.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with the Canada Labour Code – Section III
  • Possess verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills and experience is essential. A working knowledge of Networking Systems is required.
  • Good working knowledge of and experience with time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must: a) provide a criminal record check prior to employment.

    b) have a valid Ontario driver’s license

  • This position does not require daily travel, however, if asked, must be available to travel.
  • Be aware of the cultural environment in which Tikinagan Child and Family Services operates.
  • Appropriate educational qualifications and/or equivalent combination of experience and training to manage the tasks and responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to communicate in one of the Tikinagan Child and Family Service catchment area dialects is preferred but not required.

All successful applicants will require an application for, or a current, Criminal Record Check(CRC). A Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) for those positions working with children will also be required. As such, it is recommended that applicants apply for a CRC & VSC as soon as possible.
