POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Controller, the Financial Data Analyst has extensive experience in data analysis and visualization using tools like MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau. The candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for using data to drive business insights.
In addition, the candidate should have experience with financial and manufacturing accounting concepts, the ability to see the big picture while investigating the details when required. Also the knowledge to bridge business processes to complex ERP processes and financial statements & reports.
With a focus on finance and reporting, Financial Data Analyst could also be responsible for analyzing financial data, designing financial reports and dashboards, and making recommendations to improve financial processes and systems.

DUTIES:

DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORTING
o Analyze financial data and develop insights to drive business decisions, with a focus on financial and manufacturing accounting concepts
o Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insights to stakeholders, with the ability to bridge business processes to the system and financial statements
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, leveraging knowledge of financial and manufacturing accounting concepts
o Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business initiatives and strategic projects, with a focus on both high-level and detailed analysis
o Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis, with a strong understanding of financial and manufacturing accounting concepts
o Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, with the ability to bridge business processes to the system and financial statements

ERP (IFS) SUPPORT
o Proactively examine current system to pinpoint strengths, manage risks and identify weaknesses and support continuous improvement projects
o Analyze and troubleshoot ERP system issues reported by end users
o Provide a customer service/consultant type role in meeting directly with internal users to find out their ERP related needs, address pain points
o Look for optimization opportunities as it relates to the IT infrastructure and ERP system
o Suggest and propose process improvements through the quality of reporting data

OTHER DUTIES
o Support the business to ensure division and corporate yearly targets are met.
o Support Finance department with Quarterly/Yearly External Audit requirements
o Participate in continuing professional development by attending workshops, seminars, and conferences to obtain and maintain knowledge and skills related to the work performed
o Will play a major role in supporting any future ERP integrations and implementations
o Other ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned

o Ensure that the equipment and process operate efficiently and safely
o Provide support to the generation of HAA and SOP

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on data analysis and visualization
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial modules, such as IFS, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Knowledge of database design and SQL for querying large datasets is an asset
  • Creative thinker with the ability to rapidly understand the business objectives and present solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work professionally with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to see the high level view and get into the detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge business processes to the system and financial statements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with data visualization best practices and ability to create effective data visualizations that tell a story
  • Ability to work with different types of data sources, including structured and unstructured data
  • Experience with data cleansing and data transformation techniques to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Understanding of financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), and ability to identify trends and anomalies in the data
  • Experience with project management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality work
  • Continuous learning mindset, with a desire to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques in data analysis and visualization.
