We are seeking a highly motivated and preferably experienced Food Safety Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing food safety consulting services to our clients in the food industry. The consultant will work remotely and will be responsible for generating billable hours through consulting services provided to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide food safety consulting services to clients in the food industry.
• Conduct food safety audits, inspections, and training sessions for clients.
• Develop and implement food safety programs and policies for clients.
• Provide technical assistance to clients regarding food safety regulations and compliance.
• Conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments for food products and processes.
• Prepare written reports and recommendations for clients based on audit findings and assessments.
• Participate in client meetings and conference calls to discuss food safety issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field. A related technical diploma will be considered.
• 2-5 years of experience in food safety consulting or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including SFCR, FSMA, HACCP, and GMPs.
• Ability to conduct food safety audits and inspections.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Experience in working in an environment with pay based on generating billable hours is preferred.
