Guelph's own Market Fresh is looking for a Front Bakery Supervisor to join our growing business.

We're an independent family-run business with a great team of people who love food and community as much as we do. Our butcher shop, bakery, deli, green grocer and kitchen all specialize in sourcing and creating delicious eats and treats that showcase the best of the region and season. We're located in the heart of downtown Guelph. We are looking for a motivated individual with at least 1 year of bakery supervisor or supervisor experience in a similar role.

Here's what we get!

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1-3 years of experience in a supervisor role, with a preferrence for bakery experience (we are willing to train the right candidate)
• Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Must be organized and self-motivated
• Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials
• Certified in Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)

Job responsibilities for Bakery Supervisor

• Maintain a professional relationship with all associates, managers, owners, and vendors
• Take direction from Bakery Manager, Store Manager and Owners on direction for the bakery in the Bakery Manager’s absence and implement an action plan for completion and follow up.
• Understand the ordering of all bakery products. Look for opportunities to introduce new items and make suggestions to Bakery Manager.
• Ensure that all bakery staff are trained in product knowledge and outstanding customer service. Lead and teach by example.
• Check invoices to ensure that charges are correct and reflect the product ordered
• Ensure visually appealing and accurate merchandising, signage and marketing
