Job Description

EPINSS Dishwasher Assistants are responsible for maintaining a clean kitchen/ dining hall environment, monitoring washrooms (attached to dining hall), dining room cleaning after every use. Keeping the kitchen organized and stocked with cleaning chemicals for the dishwasher and completing project cleaning as required. Dishwasher Assistants are to help the chefs and kitchen assistants with keeping kitchen utensils, pots, glassware etc always stocked. Dishwashers are to help the kitchen assistant’s serve Clients with breakfast, lunch and dinner (as needed). The dishwasher assistant delivers room service trays to the appropriate floors, take away dirty trays back down to the kitchen, deliver morning and evening groceries. Interacting with Clients when offering meals, understanding different dietary requirements.

Responsibilities

· Stock Organization.

· Interaction with Clients (serving breakfast, lunch and dinner)

· Support and direction from Kitchen Manager and Head Chef.

· Actively assist with maintaining current and accurate stock count list for supplies orders.

· Chemicals stocked for the dishwasher.

· Kitchen utensil/ appliances cleaned and stocked e.g. cups, trays, utensils, pots etc

· Organizing orders for isolation Clients, room service.

· Deliver orders to nursing floors.

· Restock supplies as needed

· Always ensure and maintain a safe, sanitary, and clean working environment.

· Wipe kitchen services

· Sweep dining halls floors daily and as needed

· Spot mop all common areas and kitchen floors as needed

· Monitor dining hall Client bathrooms (check every 2 hours, Request HCA to clean as needed)

· Empty garbage bins and recycle bins as needed

Dishwasher Daily Breakdown

Dishwasher OPS 11:00am-7:00pm

· 11:00am – Sanitizer Checklist/Set-up

· Dump and reset Sani-buckets x 3 measure/record on sheet

· 11:15-11:30 – Deliveries

· Check grocery orders are complete

· Deliver food and groceries toother buildings

· 11:30-3:30pm – Dishwashing/General Cleaning

· Washing lunch dishes

· Breaking down any boxes for recycling

· General cleaning3:30pm-4:00pm – BREAK

· 4:00pm-4:15pm – Deliveries

· Deliver food and groceries to other buildings

· 4:15pm-6:15pm – Dishwashing/General Cleaning

· Washing dinner dishes

· Breaking down any boxes for recycling

· General cleaning

· 6:15pm-7:00pm – General cleaning/ Deep Clean Task

· Empty and dump garbage

· Floor sweep

· Mopping

· Dry washed linens

· Check off closing sheet duties

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
