General Laborer

Mon- Fri

Duties

• Loading, hot wire cutting and unloading materials and products into and out of various machines
• Verify quality of production and advise the Supervisor and/or Quality Assurance of any non-conformances
• Meet production quality and quantity requirements on the designated workstation within a reasonable timeframe
• Complete all machine documentation daily. This includes the use of a computer to input quantities and timelines
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained throughout the work area
• Advise Supervisor if there is equipment/tools in need of repair
• Ensure safety procedures and policies are followed and inform Supervisor / Lead Hand immediately of any unsafe or potentially dangerous situations
• Assist with preventative maintenance as required

Qualifications

• Experience with our specific machines is not required
• Must be team oriented, organized, and possess time management skills
• Ability to problem solve with an attention to detail
• Computer skills are an asset
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to stand at a machine for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in high temperature environment
• Have your own reliable transportation as we are located outside of town.
• Forklift experience is an asset but willing to train.

We offer $18.00/hr starting wage as well as a benefits package for full time employees upon completion of a 3 month probationary period. Willing to hire part time, half days or full days.
