Job Brief

The Grounds Maintenance Department of the Harvest Golf Club is now accepting resumes for 2023 season, for the following positions:

Grounds Maintenance Workers

Irrigation Assistant

Mechanic Apprentice

Assistant Gardener

Gardener Laborer

Duties for the Grounds Maintenance Workers will include but are not limited to:

Course service (changing cups, moving tee markers, filling divots, etc.)

Mowing turf (ride-on/walk)

Bunker maintenance (raking (ride-on/hand), trimming, weeding, edging, etc.)

In house projects (drainage, sod, aeration, topdressing, fertilizing, etc.)

Irrigation (maintain, repair, install, head clean, dig, hand water, etc.)

Previous turf/golf course maintenance experience would be an asset but not required, we will train. Applicants must be able to perform physical labor and able to lift approx. 25 kg.

Available to work holidays and part weekends is an asset. Start times vary between 5 am-7 am as season moves along.

Duties for the Irrigation Assistant will include but are not limited to:

Hand watering, digging, maintenance and repair of irrigation system, installation of new irrigation, turf repair, satellite operation, drainage etc.

Previous irrigation experience would be an asset but not required, we will train. Applicants must be able to perform physical labor and able to lift approx. 25 kg.

Available to work holidays and part weekends is an asset. Start times vary between 5 am-7 am as season moves along.

Duties for the Mechanic Apprentice will include but are not limited to:

Learning all aspects of maintaining the equipment and vehicles under the instruction of our mechanic. When not working in mechanic shop, the Mechanic Apprentice will be working as a Grounds Maintenance Worker. Toro Equipment Maintenance Course may be required as well and will be covered by the Harvest Golf Club.

Previous mechanic and or golf course grounds worker experience would be an asset but not required, we will train. Applicants must be able to perform physical labor and able to lift approx. 25 kg.

Available to work holidays and part weekends is an asset. Start times vary between 5 am-7 am as season moves along.

Duties for the Gardening Positions will include but are not limited to:

Planting, mulching, edging, weeding, line trimming, monitoring and maintaining the health of plants in the gardens. Pruning and trimming trees and bushes. Keeping gardens and tree wells clear of debris and litter. Some hand watering.

Previous gardening experience would be an asset but not required, we will train. Applicants must be able to perform physical labor and able to lift approx. 25 kg.
