We are looking for a full-time breakfast attendant for our hot breakfast buffet for guests. The shifts begin at 6 am, end of shift varies with occupancy - from 11 am - 2 pm. Days required varies weekly. You enjoy working with people, have experience with food, and are a team player. We look forward to meeting you!

Breakfast Bar Attendant’s main responsibility is to ensure breakfast bar is clean and stocked thoroughly on a daily basis. Having the proper knowledge of the hotel and its surroundings is important as you will be interacting with guests. You will greet each guest with a smile, and ensure their day is off to a great start. You are responsible for Breakfast inventory twice a week, receiving and putting away inventory, rotating inventory, preparing food for meeting room, ensuring all Health & Safety procedures and rules are followed.

Shift work including overnight shifts. Open availability is necessary. Schedule and days off will be based on a fixed rotating schedule. Will also cover shifts in Breakfast Room and Night Audit

  • Register guests and assign rooms. Accommodations special requests whenever possible.
  • Assists in pre-registration and blocking of rooms for reservations.
  • Thoroughly understands how to deal with credit payments, cash-handling policies.
  • Understands how to close out a shift, responsible for accounting monies.
  • Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
  • Informs housekeeping department when there are changes to a guests stay.
  • Knows how to use front office equipment: fax machine, scanner, printer, phone.
  • Has proper phone mannerism.
  • Process guest check outs.
  • User proper message handling procedures.
  • Communicates clearly, verbally and written
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the front office, back office, common areas, public washrooms, meeting room.
  • Understands that busier days may require assistance in other departments.
  • Can solve problems and address guest issues.
  • Shifts rotate between day and evening and overnights. Days off rotate as well.
  • Experience in hotels is preferred.
  • Experience with Choice Advantage would be an asset.

You must be able to work on your feet for up to 8 hours. Reach, twist, squat and lift up to 50 pounds.

If the hotel is busy, you can assist in laundry to complete an 8 hour day.

Eligible for benefits package after 90 days probation. Cost shared 50/50 with employer.
