McInnes Cooper is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Assistant to join our Marketing & Business Development team in our Halifax office for a full time permanent position. As the Marketing & Business Development Assistant you will bring energy, fun and creativity as you support the team with a number of activities.

What you'll do
Responsibilities

As a Marketing & Business Development Assistant, you will be responsible for:

Events

Assist with the coordination, planning and execution of client facing activities such as seminars, webinars and client receptions;
Support the Business Development Team with coordination of lawyer and client attendance at events and sponsorships;
Maintain data, tracking and reporting on data from systems including the Campaign Monitor, Survey Monkey and InterAction Client Relationship Management ("CRM"); and
Assist with deliverables for firm sponsorships including confirmation of sponsorships, advertising coordination, and provision of logo.

Research & Support

Assist with adoption of the firm CRM system and acts as database steward, conducting daily routines, updates and information-gathering with lawyers and assistants;
Assist with client and prospect research pertaining to business development efforts; and
Maintain data in firms' CRM and utilizes other research resources including Hoovers, company websites, etc.

Merchandise

Maintain levels of merchandising in our "Promo Store" and reallocates these as appropriate; and
Action internal orders for merchandise as required.
What you'll need
Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skill set:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of tools (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Strong written and oral communication, planning and organizing skills, and relationship-building abilities;
Demonstrates creativity and can grasp and apply new ideas;
High degree of professionalism; and
An independent self-starter capable of managing and prioritizing multiple time sensitive projects and priorities.
