St Barbara is searching for great people like you to fill a full-time, contract Haul Truck Driver (Mine Operator 1.2) position at our open-pit gold mine in Moose River Gold Mines, NS. At St Barbara, you’ll be part of a team working safely to create enduring, positive impacts on your community and the world at large.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: Days - $25.00/hour Nights - $25.50/hour
• Healthcare & dental plan (after probation)
• 80 hours of vacation (after probation)
• Opportunity to advance to a Mine Operator 1.3 position
• Overtime hours available

Schedule

• Full-time (36-48 hours/week)
• Contract: Ends December 31, 2022
• 4 days on, 4 days off
• 12-hour shifts, days and nights
• Day shift: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Duties

• Move and dump material using a haul truck
• Regularly inspect your haul truck

Requirements

• No prior training or experience required
• Class 5 driver’s license, unrestricted
• Ability to sit for extended periods
• Ability to perform physical labour when needed
