3rd Year Journeyman/Journeywoman or Red Seal Mechanic

We’re currently seeking a Full Time 3rd Year or Journeyman/Journeywoman Red Seal Mechanic for our Blackfalds or Edmonton location.

Specializing in the Oil & Gas Industry, we proudly offer Chemical, Molten Sulphur, Frac Sand, Nitrogen, Acid, and Cryogenic Freight Services to Western, Central, and Northern Canada.

The ideal Heavy-Duty Mechanic will have a professional attitude, be a self-motivated team player who can mentor and lead our apprentices and contribute to our culture of inclusion and diversity with ease.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Service/repair of semis and trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Work with drivers to understand their concerns and properly diagnose any issues.
• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions, determining repairs as needed.
• Perform rebuilds as required.
• Test equipment for optimal performance.
• Repair to manufacturer’s specifications.
• Organize & maintain shop (Housekeeping).
• Order parts and supplies as needed.
• Correctly update work orders.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3rd Year Journeyman/Journeywoman / or Red Seal HD Mechanic.
• CVIP Inspection License is considered a huge asset.
• Valid Class 5 with clean driving record.
• A demonstrated ability to learn, ask questions, and see a job through from start to finish.
• Willingness to follow safety policies and procedures.
• A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing.
• Journeymen/ women or Red Seal Certificate.
• Valid License - Class 5.
• Complete in-house WHMIS, TDG, Federal Hours of Service training and/ or other courses provided by Bizi Transport.
