Toptable Group is delighted to join Victoria's vibrant dining community and is poised to unveil a new fresh and approachable seafood restaurant concept in 2023. We are looking for a passionate service professionals to be a part of our opening team.

JOB SUMMARY:
Our Hosts have a genuine passion for hospitality and are an integral part of our restaurant; being an ambassador to our standards and culture. By consistently providing a warm welcome and great service, the Host provides a first and last impression to our guests

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Other duties may be assigned as required)

• Create a positive guest experience that begins with a friendly greeting and warm smile
• Accurately take reservations that optimize each service period
• Efficiently maintain and organize restaurant by managing guest flow while maximizing seating capacity
• Escort guests to their table, engage them in conversation and seat them accordingly
• Recognize and acknowledge repeat guests
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, table numbers and server sections
• Provide a strong level of communication with both the guest and staff members
• Support service staff where needed
• Anticipates guest needs, providing direct assistance where possible

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar high-volume fine dining role
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Positive, energetic and enthusiastic outlook and personality
• Professional presentation
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Well organized and strong time management skills
• Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Work well within a team environment
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
