Position Overview

We are looking for full-time housepersons, under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager. The housepersons are responsible for assisting Guest Services, Housekeeping and the Laundry Department and making sure all guest needs are meet at a 4-star standard service hotel. There will be some duties that are required to be done daily and others that only are needed on a case-by-case basis.

Location: Canmore

Start Date: Mid June

Shifts: Full-time

Wage: $20/hour

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver linens from main laundry to housekeeping storage rooms.
- Assist housekeeping team with the stripping of rooms.
- Assisting the Guest Services and Housekeeping teams with daily tasks.
- Deliver items to guest room upon request of Guest Services.
- Keep towels in common areas well stocked and ensuring dirty towels are delivered to laundry.
- Respond to guest requests for additional amenities/supplies.
- Respond to minor guest maintenance concerns including light bulb replacement, door lock battery replacement, remote control/tv concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of the main lobby such as public bathrooms, common areas (fireplace, hot tub, elevators, photo booth etc...) and report any deficiencies to the Housekeeping Manager.

Skills and Experience

- 6 months of previous experience in housekeeping or in customer service is preferred.
- Previous 4-star experience an asset.

Requirements

- Able to work well independently with little supervision and complete work at a 4-star standard.
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time including walking, kneeling, bending, lifting, crouching, reaching, and pulling.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in teams if necessary, including sharing tools and equipment.
- Must be able to lift 30lbs.
- Must be able to work varying shifts (weekdays, nights, weekends).
- Able to speak and read the English language proficiently. Additional languages are an asset.

Salary: $20.00 per hour
