Our long-standing client is seeking a domestic hire in their 11,000 sq ft home to act as Housekeeper / House Manager in their residence in the NW (towards Cochrane, AB).

This home is a large and bustling place full of activity and organized chaos. The home can often have visitors, inclusive of children, and large groups. This person will love working independently yet will interact with visitors and residents in a personal and professional manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The House Manager / Housekeeper will handle all aspects of care and attention to the estate as required such as cleaning and upkeeping (daily, seasonal, event prep and take down, etc.), administering all home maintenance and dealing with various vendors to ensure everything is running in top form, keeping track of and purchasing all home supplies, grocery shopping, running errands on an as needed basis, and all ad hoc duties such as welcoming guests and ensuring the three dogs are tended to as needed.

The key job functions are:

• Cleaning floors and bathrooms
• Cleaning all linens, upholstery, and draperies
• Completing laundry and dry-cleaning
• Cleaning the walls, stairs, light fixtures, switches, and touch pads
• Maintaining all furnishings in excellent condition, coordinating repairs and cleaning
• Vacuuming all surfaces
• Tidying and organizing of rooms, closets, and storage spaces
• Pet care as required
• Decorating home for holidays and other special events
• Greeting guests and visitors
• Ensuring plants and flowers within the property are watered and kept in good health
• Assisting with regular entertaining for private and social events
• Liaising with planning committees for parties or events
• Occasional weekly shopping and errands
• Housesitting as required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Past housekeeping experience
• Experience running a large / busy household
• Comfortable tending to dogs
• Vaccine mandate in effect
• Clean criminal background
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Experience:

• 2 years of experience in housekeeping / running a household

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and follow through on tasks
• Ability to work independently
• Self-motivated

Base Salary: $50,000 per year

• Full benefits package included

Work Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

• This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
