Qualifications:
- Grade 12 graduate or equivalent of required
- Successful completion of a Post Secondary Program preferred
- Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of the hospital utilizing a variety of housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Recognize the cause and material of soiling and spots, and remove them with use of proper chemicals
- Project cleaning of vents, lights, ceilings, walls and interior and exterior windows
- Observes and report the need for repairs on equipment, furniture, fixtures and building
- Assist in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon request
- Long-term bed cleaning and discharge cleaning
- Adherence to Infection Control Procedures
- Participates in unit/department and Hospital Quality Improvement initiatives
- Completes continuing education requirements as necessary
- Other related duties as assigned
