Job Overview

The HR - Recruiter and Administrator will support the HR and Office administrative functions at our 2 hotel properties (Embassy Suites by Hilton Montreal and DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal Pointe-Claire). The ideal candidate should rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key responsibilities of the role:

  • Support day-to-day operations, ensuring quality, standards, and the expectations of the company.
  • To provide administrative support to the General Manager/Director of Operations in delivering overall objectives for the hotels.
  • May create employee communication pieces including posters and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Other duties include compiling employee training manuals and materials, updating employee information/bulletin boards, and ordering office supplies.
  • Employee Locker’s and Parking Card Control Tracking
  • Assist with the coordination of employee events and hotel celebrations.
  • Assist hotels in all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and benefits administration.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date files.
  • As Hilton’s brand ambassador for both properties, you will be responsible for Department onboarding, assigning training for new employees, weekly newsletter etc.

What you will need

  • Education level: Post-secondary Degree / Diploma an asset
  • Experience - 1-2 years of administration experience.
  • Specific skills - Bilingual English and French (Translations written and verbal)
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) and related business tools
  • Physical abilities – Be able to sit for long periods.
  • Other Skills - Fantastic organizational and time management skills, Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Flexible to operate and commute between both properties.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness: Often privy to confidential information.
