Human Resources Coordinator - 1 Year Term Job at WCLC

WCLC is looking for an HR Coordinator for a 1-year term to join our HR team in Winnipeg. This role will assist in many functional areas of HR including full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and coordinating other functions such as training and development. This newly created role will work closely with the Human Resources Business Partners on a regular basis and proactively identify and fulfill hiring needs.

Our team is presently working in a hybrid fashion spending time on-site to collaborate and build relationships as well as working from home pending business needs.

The successful candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Providing general administrative support to the HR and Organizational Development teams, including the preparation of employee documents and other related correspondence.
  • Create and manage job postings, and assist in posting jobs internally and externally
  • Support full cycle recruitment and selection process; screen candidates, conduct phone screens, schedule interviews, conduct reference checks, and coordinate offers
  • Verify completion of all new hire documentation, follow up with employees and ensure that proper documentation is received
  • Ensure all background security checks are completed and report or escalate results accordingly
  • Coordinate various HR activities related to new employee onboarding, including facilitating of new hire orientation sessions
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars, while maintaining the training database records
  • Work closely with members of the HR team to implement HR-related programs and initiatives, including benefit and pension administration
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data while ensuring all employment requirements are met

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
  • A degree or diploma in Human Resource Management (or a related field)
  • Previous experience in full-cycle recruitment
  • Familiarity with HR databases, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
