YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:


Reporting to the Human Resources Coordinator, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Ensure day-to-day support of the employees on site for all matters related to HR functions;
  • Participate in Human Resources planning sessions;
  • Contribute to attaining strategic goals in the Human Resources Department for the Meliadine site;
  • Support the organization in a rapidly changing operational environment;
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Support the internal communication process;
  • Ensure the quality of the work environment for the Meliadine site is meeting our high standards: social life and employee wellness.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field combined with a Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources;
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Experience in an industrial setting or heavy industry (mining experience is an asset);
  • Cultural awareness and understanding of work in Aboriginal communities is an asset;
  • Must have strong communication skills;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
