The HR summer student will be responsible for managing employee data, assisting with providing employee-focused support within a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
- Reception – managing phone calls and messages; personal and plant line, open gate, visitor registration
- Mailroom – sending and receiving Canada Post, UPS and Actions Express
- Attendance log – tracking daily call-ins
- First point of contact for HR inquiries
- Maintenance of employee files
- WIN-PAK access cards set up
- Exit Interviews
- Tracking and processing (retirements, student verification, work permits/SIN, PCF reimbursements, boots & tool reimbursements, personal data changes)
- Ensures adherence to the collective agreement and all applicable legislation regarding hourly employees
- Communicate with front line supervisors and/or department managers daily as required
- Responds to employee inquires, in areas of benefits, vacations, LOAs, wage increases and other HR processes
- Respond to all employee concerns and take steps to resolve issues
- Provide Human Resources presence to hourly employees
- Assistance to Human Resources team as required
