We are looking for a cheerful and outgoing Independent Living Assistant who is passionate about caring for our seniors and offering friendly hospitality in our independent living residence.

What You Will Do

• Provide dining services to 31 residents including setting tables, serving meals and clearing dishes
• Be the “go-to” person for our residents and their families, respecting and understanding their needs and requests
• Respond to emergency calls from suites and ensure appropriate action is taken
• Assisting with administrative duties
• Maintain the safety and security of the residence by following site procedures

Your Qualifications – The Must Have’s

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Friendly, outgoing, and have the capacity to work cooperatively with others
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work independently as well as with your team
• Patience, kindness, compassion towards Residents, their families, and guests
• Food Safe and Serving it Right certification
• Must successfully pass the prescribed criminal records check for the vulnerable sector and provide proof of vaccinations
