THE OPPORTUNITY
As a member of the Retail Technology Department, you will be part of the team responsible for turning business requirements into solutions. As the Senior Business Analyst, Retail Technology, you will be accountable for understanding business requirements, translating business requirements into technical solution requirements, and ensuring solutions are built in accordance to these requirements. You will apply your passion for technology to unlock business value while increasing your IT and Retail knowledge through a variety of transformational technology initiatives. THE ROLE
As the Senior Business Analyst, Retail Technology, you will:
  • Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to identify, define, and deliver innovative retail technology solutions that meet business needs for today and tomorrow
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, user-centric designs and tasks (JIRA tickets) that can be estimated, built, and tested by the solution delivery team
  • Implement structured testing to ensure functionality meets business needs and to identify and address deficiencies, including developing test scripts and executing testing
  • Support the change management strategy and training of Service Desk and business partners to maximize the benefits of new retail technology solutions
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The Senior Business Analyst has:
  • Proven skills, education, experience, and/or applicable certifications including:
    • Strong analytical and communication skills with experience performing options analysis to drive strategic decision-making
    • Experience facilitating requirements gathering, prioritization and design workshops with a demonstrated ability to break down problem statements into actionable tasks
    • Experience delivering at each stage of the development life cycle: requirements gathering & analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance
    • Experience/certification in agile methodologies (scrum, kanban), retail operations/industry, Point of Sales systems, omni-channel customer experience, inventory management and/or order fulfillment is an asset
  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
