Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Reporting to: Branch Manager

Purpose

The primary focus of the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is to conduct outbound calls in support of the following with the further understanding the majority of their time should be spent on the telephone: The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for achieving monthly revenue growth targets by identifying and capturing new rental and sales opportunities daily with the customer accounts of each assigned office. The Inside Sales Representative will also be responsible for capturing rental and sales revenue with new customers by initiating prospecting calls and obtaining referrals from existing customers and promoting Pine’s equipment and service offerings. The position will utilize excellent telephone sales and communication skills to develop strong relationships with their customers, identify their business needs, identify new rental and sales opportunities, and quickly turn opportunities into new and recurring revenue for Pine. The position will consistently meet or exceed specific sales productivity and activity objectives and metrics through continued development of their sales skills and experiences.

Primary Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities listed below are for the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) to complete during their predetermined daily schedule dedicated to inside sales:

  • The (ISR) will be a key contributor in assisting the Branch to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual rental and sales revenue budgets from customer accounts in their assigned Branch Offices
  • New revenue opportunities will include but not limited to Down, Lost, and Up accounts, Strategic, Key, Discount Accounts, New Markets, marketing leads, referrals, cold calling, quote follow-up, and other potential sources
  • Effective inbound and outbound qualification of prospects and account research
  • Make a minimum of 30 outbound sales calls a day to existing and potential customers
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of monthly and quarterly revenue growth opportunities in both the Sales and Quote Pipelines
  • Obtain quote and order requests from customers for rental equipment and supply sales based on availability, standard or discounted pricing, and other terms and conditions as applicable
  • Send quote and order information to their designated Branch Offices to be prepared and sent to customers
  • Communicate at a minimum weekly with their TSR to promote training opportunities and face-to-face meetings for the TSR to visit customers/prospects on site.
  • Document and investigate any customer complaints and escalate all issues to the Branch Manager, TSR, and Inside Sales Manager in a timely manner
  • Meet weekly and monthly with the Technical Sales Representative, Branch Manager, and Customer Service Representatives in each assigned office to review Branch performance and follow up on qualified leads and new business opportunities
  • Representatives must be customer focused and deliver excellent customer experiences
  • Support the rental of equipment and sales of supplies to both current and prospective customers
  • Provide rental equipment and supply sales application, pricing and other information to all clients
  • Daily data entry into Conduit for all information on each inquiry from customers/prospects in their designated offices
  • Open communication with all Pine Branches and vendors
  • Promotion of a Health and Safety-First attitude
  • Attend ongoing equipment rental and supply sales training
  • Attend ongoing sales training
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Core Competencies

  • Prior outbound telephone sales experience is preferred
  • French speaking required
  • Environmental/Rental industry experience preferred
  • Environmental and/or NDT/RVI industry experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent Communication Skills- Written, Verbal, Interpersonal, and Phone
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and has good time management skills
  • Ability to think analytically with focus on problem solving
  • A flexible and strong team player that can work in a fast-paced environment
  • Microsoft Office proficient

Education/Experience

  • Associate Degree in related field; Bachelor’s Degree a plus
  • Previous inside sales experience plus HS Diploma/GED acceptable in lieu of College Degree

Environment

· Fast paced professional office and warehouse environment with some travel by car or air for meetings, trainings, trade shows and customer visits. Customer interactions primarily consist over the phone, email and in person.

· This is a non-safety sensitive position.

Physical Demands

· This position is 80% sedentary and 20% active and may include activities such as walking, standing, bending, stretching, climbing (ladder). Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. assisted or unassisted and may require the ability to drive a Pine vehicle.
