A bit about the job:
This role supports the annuity business, which is a key driver of Aviva’s growth. Aviva is a central player in both the individual and bulk annuity markets, with much of the growth in new business volumes coming from bulk purchase annuities. Aviva invests annuity premiums in a wide range of UK and Overseas credit assets from both public and private debt markets, including Bonds, Equity Release Mortgages, Commercial Mortgages Structured Finance, and Infrastructure loans. All these assets require a credit rating, and hence an associated credit rating methodology. These credit ratings are used as a tool to manage credit risk and directly feed through to the matching adjustment calculation for Aviva’s annuity portfolio, a key part of Aviva’s future strategy.

The focus of this role is to provide support to the specialists within the Credit Rating Methodology team to execute the rolling methodology review plans including the production of regular MI to support ongoing assurance testing.
The role is an excellent development opportunity to contribute to the improvement of credit rating processes and controls in a growing business. This role will ensure that the governance of the internal rating methodologies runs effortlessly.
