What you’ll do

The Enterprise Investment & Governance Analyst Student will have visibility to the processes and systems used to plan, govern and track Enterprise Investments over the 5 Year Outlook Planning horizon at CTC. Your role will support our highly dedicated team of Finance professionals in the continued evolution and expansion of the Enterprise Investment Planning (EIP) Process at CTC.

  • Collaborate with PMO and Governance professionals, and client groups within the org to identify opportunities for enhanced, standardized and automated Enterprise-level reports for use across the organization

  • Develop & Deliver Training materials required to support roll-out and adoption of EIP capabilities

  • Analyze Enterprise Investment project compliance (in collaboration with governance specialists) and provide guidance/support to project management teams as required to mitigate non-compliance positions

  • Review existing processes and practices to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, streamlining, automation or other efficient practices

  • Performs periodic analysis on the investment portfolio to ensure data quality relating to investment attributes, status, and lifecycle management. Updates made either manually or through use of automation

What you bring

  • You're working towards a post-secondary degree in Finance, Statistics, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint; k nowledge and experience using Microsoft Power BI considered an asset
  • Knowledge of segregated funds, mutual funds, and securities/investments considered an asset.
  • Knowledge surrounding r eport development, including requirements definition, report design, data integrity validation and testing
  • Experience and/or strong understanding of how to analyze large volumes of data using formulas and structured investigation to determine compliance with established governance parameters
  • Ability to effectively organize and present data at both detail and summary levels to serve a broad range of target audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to develop training materials/process guides for presentation to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in Project Management or Project Coordinator roles and insight into the multiple project delivery methodologies available in a highly diverse enterprise investment delivery environment is an asset
  • Working towards a professional designation and/or completion of the Canadian Securities Course would be considered an asset(s).
