Compensation starts at $50,000-$55,000. Wages may be scaled based on relevant experience and education.

What will you be doing?

Based out of our satellite Head Office in Calgary, you will work with our team to facilitate the delivery of IT and training services. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the prompt and efficient delivery of services and supplies, help ensure that key milestones and objectives are met, and provide administrative and organizational support to the department.

In this role, it will be important to be organized, have a service-oriented attitude and have a keen interest in technology.

You will be supported by a team of professionals with a wide-ranging set of skills. You will also be offered training opportunities to support you in your professional development.

Key Responsibilities

You will work with our IT Operations group to help coordinate all aspects of our work. This includes:

  • Coordinating the allocation and movement of IT assets throughout our organization.
  • Scheduling resources so team members and internal clients can succeed in their roles.
  • Managing the life cycle of our IT assets from the time we place an equipment order to the time that equipment is retired.
  • Assisting with corporate travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Helping us curate our staff- and department-facing knowledge base to ensure a high level of accuracy and polish.
  • Performing small-scale data entry functions to support various projects within the department.
  • Creating and delivering training materials to our internal clients under supervision.
  • Assembling our internal communications at the end of each of our work cycles.
  • Collecting requirements from our users to ensure that the services and products we deliver best align with their needs.

  • A strong working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Basic knowledge of the fundamental concepts of business computing: Can identify a printer, computer, monitor and common peripheral devices and describe in simple terms the function of each.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to independently manage a large number of competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Desired Skills

While these skills are not necessary, the ideal candidate will have some number of the following:

  • Basic experience using of one or more of MS Windows, Mac OS or Linux.
  • Strong technical writing skills and an aptitude for developing technical training and documentation.
  • An aptitude for visual layout and/or graphic design.
  • Some experience with HTML and/or Web page design.
  • Experience in any of the following roles: Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, Office Administrator, Project Coordinator
