Job Description: The IT Manager will be responsible for providing IT support, oversight and technical guidance to internal clients, guests and external clients and offer troubleshooting and maintenance services for technology related issues. Provides leadership in planning and managing the adoption, implementation, utilization, and optimization of branded, third party or other industry applications and technologies to create value and benefit team members and guests. They are also responsible for maintaining the integrity of all IT related systems, network infrastructure, and all IT related hardware and software at the hotel are functioning properly. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Provide internal IT support (server security, software updates, hardware maintenance, etc.) • Assist with the implementation, deployment and operation of information systems and technology solutions for operational needs • Self-monitor, manage and respond to help desk and support tickets to ensure the proper escalation and resolution of tickets and incidents in a timely manner • Research, design, and implement the appropriate technologies • Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology purchases • Assist with capacity planning for network bandwidth, storage requirements, messaging, website, and other applications • Provide orientation, guidance, assistance, and support to users on using IT equipment, applications and services • Assist in development and review of IT procedures and documentation • Ensure IT contingency and recovery plans are in place and tested • Perform and monitor backup and recovery operations for data and systems • Maintain IT assets inventory and manage software licensing and subscriptions • Prepare IT operating and capital budgets • Maintain user access controls including new hire, transfers, and terminations • Document and maintain the configuration and setup of IT applications, systems, networks, and cloud applications • Proactively monitor, configure, maintain, and ensure IT-related systems comply with security and privacy policies and standards • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and coordinate hardware repairs, software, and configuration support with vendors • Test, install, configure, and maintain computing hardware, peripheral devices, various IT infrastructure, and software components • Support facilities' physical security and CCTV network • Immediately respond to emergency and critical operational issues to minimize downtime of systems • Understands property technology systems including but not limited to Opera, Galaxy Lighstpeed, Simphony, CI/TY, and various key card and PBX systems -Provides support and troubleshoots Microsoft Office for users -Understands and knows how to troubleshoot networking issues such as cabling, WiFi, VLANS, Switches, DHCP and Domain Controller -Ability to further develop and update company Information Systems standard operating procedures and communicate to all users -Ability to assess any given situation, considering cost, time management, company resources and company integrity to make strong and valuable decisions -Initiative to ensure timely and efficient response to General Manager, Vice President , and/or owner request for assistance -Maintains a thorough knowledge of the organization and adheres to all organizational standards -Ability to deal with confidential information in a discrete manner, not compromising company and/or personal confidences -Support the overall Enterprise Risk management program by ensuring that security and compliance risks are mitigated and is responsible for protecting data from compromise -Responsible for analyzing, developing, implementing and enforcing security, privacy and data protection requirements, policies and corporate technical guidelines -Manage and lead an IT Administrator by providing technical and functional leadership -Sponsor security related initiatives and implements process and methods to raise the maturity of security governance and execution within the company while improving the security of information assets -Provide ongoing evaluation of security measures, identifying any vulnerabilities and making recommendations to reduce exposure -Investigate and manage security related incidents and conduct threat risk assessments. -Act as the liaison between the compliance team, operations team, regulators to ensure compliance -Ensure functionality and maintenance of physical security system controls • Other duties as may be assigned by the General Manager, Vice President, and/or Owner
