Family Capacity Building and Support Worker
(Permanent Full-Time)
Chimo Youth & Family Services is looking for a passionate and skilled professional to join our community services team to support young people and their families. This position involves supporting families/caregivers to better understand and respond to their child's mental health needs through individual and group counseling modalities using psychotherapeutic techniques.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree from a recognized college/university in a discipline leading to membership in a college regulating the delivery of psychotherapy
- Membership in a college regulating the provision of psychotherapy
- Related experience and ability to work with children, youth, and their families/caregivers
- Clear police check with vulnerable sector screening
- Valid Class G driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Valid UMAB, CPR, and First Aid Certification
Work Conditions:
- Work is performed in various program settings, including an office, a live-In treatment setting, or the community (including family homes)
- Drive agency vehicles as necessary
- Maintain certifications in UMAB and Standard First Aid/CPR and college membership
- Intermittent physical activity, including walking, standing, sitting, and lifting
- Flexible 35-hour workweek to accommodate client needs and promote work-life balance
- May be required to carry an agency credit card, retain and submit receipts
