With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC (“JBS Canada”) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.

NOTE: THIS ROLE WILL BE LOCATED IN BROOKS, AB

**RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE**


You will:

  • Install, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems as required;
  • Providing adequate services will ensure that all water supply networks and waste and drainage systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet all standards of building codes and safety;
  • Work in cooperation with other trades to ensure that all specifications, legislation and policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of any project;
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures;
  • Apply all codes to installations, repairs and maintenance Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met;
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes;
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.

You have:

  • Must be a Journeyman Plumber in Alberta or equivalent;
  • 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility preferred;
  • Excellent work ethic and attendance record;
  • Ability to work independently and in a multifunctional team with minimum supervision.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Willingness to expand job role into related plumbing/maintenance tasks;

Work Site Environment: Noisy, Odours, Hot, Cold/refrigerated.


Permanent Full Time Employment

Earn Competitive Starting Wages of $42.15 - $43.40
